This game is on a good track. It accomplishes most of the things that a schmup has. It has a nice atmosphere too.
In a gameplay perspective I think there are some points that, shall they be improved, would make for an awesome package.
- Enemies always shoot at you, but giving them custom shooting patters (other that the bullets that explode and spread) would give them more personnality and also a chance to the player to show his expertise.
- Rather than giving the player all the weapons at the start, you could make them appear as power ups.
- No healing + unforgiving enemies make for a time limited rather than a skill-limited experience. By increasing player ship responsiveness and giving enemy ships attack patterns you will make the player feel he is in control.
Keep up the good work!
thanks for the feedback, just fixed some bugs to be updated soon ,then i will focus more on the gameplay experience(already planned to lower the amount of bullets enemy shoot + i was thinking of the healing or adding more raw health to the player but i dont want it to be so easy to beat tho )
i will do my best , thanks again
It is a game full of potential, faithfull to the premise to be simple and fun at the same time. My only point is the first stage is little standing because its background. Seeing the videos we see a lot of interesting scenes more action-oriented. I'd put one of them instead of this one. It'd call a lot of more attention.
Good luck, dud! I'm rooting for you and your work!
Hi , i see , just to be sure you mean the full background with planets or only the black/white stars in the background ?
Thanks a lot for the feedback it's helps a lot.
Yes, exactly that.
However, I see in your videos you got exciting action stages. The first feeling is very important. Why not replace on of those stage, maybe also including some of those weapon upgrade, as the stage to be shown in your demo? I believe it'd represent better your game.
